When I first set eyes on this dress at the City Chic Pitt St store opening it was love at first sight. It was perfect with it’s black and white kaleidoscope pattern, spikes on the shoulders and the vinyl. Oh the vinyl.
So when it came to choosing what to wear for Aussie Curves Body Con week, well, it was a no-brainer.
Isn’t it GORGEOUS?!
When I first tried it on (only a week before I moved countries), I thought I would need to size up. It is quite a tight fit on me. I decided to wait till back in New Zealand to buy it as I really didn’t want to try and fit anymore stuff in my luggage, which was overflowing already.
The day after touching down in Wellington Man Piece and I popped into the local store to have a look. I tried it on and Man Piece managed to convince me that I didn’t need to size up. Thus making it tight fitting and perfect for body con.
How wonderful. Plus I got it 30% off because of the VIP sale. Say whaaaaaaat?!
According to Donny Galella, that Australian stylist guy, the pattern like this helps provide a sliming illusion as eyes cannot focus on it properly. I’ll take it.
It also has a cut-out back.
Braving the wet weather, I had taken off my teal trench coat. I paired the dress with leggings and ankle boots.
Thanks to Ezmae from Flashion Affair for taking the photos. Make sure you check out the other ladies in the link below.

Thanks Natalie! I’m glad he convinced me to buy that size as well. It’s stretched a little bit, which helps.
