Aussie Curves – Hipster

My wardrobe is kind of a mix of styles, but mostly I like to associate with the punk, rock, chic style. So when it came to Hipster week for Aussie Curves, I thought I was good.

Then I got stuck for ideas.

I took to Pinterest and searched for Hipster. Most of the results were pantyhose with short shorts, flannelette shirts and boots. But what also popped up were a lot of cute cuddly jumpers. I had just the thing.

This jumper is so soft and snuggly. It is also super warm, so will be amazing during the Wellington winter.

I paired it with one of my vinyl jackets. I had hoped to wear my biker jacket which I have since picked up from Mum and Dad’s, but the heavy jumper underneath didn’t make a good fit.

Other must haves for a hipster look include a beanie and large scarf around the neck. I decided to go matchy-matchy with colours so as not to overcomplicate the outfit. There is a lot going on with this outfit, to the point I removed a pair of fingerless gloves.

Skinny jeans and my lace-up boots were an obvious choice to pair this jersey with. I also wore a basic black singlet from Glassons under the jersey.

I feel this outfit will be a good one for winter. It’s warm and comfortable.

  1. You are rocking that jacket, I think this look certainly has an element of hipster to it, but more than that I want to steal that jacket 😀

    • It was so warm! I was actually sweating because it was a really nice day as well. But it will be amazing when it gets super cold.

    • You should. I love my beanies. They hide bad hair days. Also Cotton On usually have awesome ones for cheap.

  2. Awesome outfit Lisa! Gorgeous as always 🙂

I’m secretly lusting after those jeans… are they current season or older ones?

  3. LOVE this jacket Lisa! Neeeed it. And the blog looks great. Amazing. Nice work.
