Aussie Curves – Tee

This week’s Aussie Curve theme is Tee. I have been thinking all week which tee to wear and trying to figure out which one I have available to me that I have not used in a blog before. I was almost going to pass on this week (because I’m sick, again), but then I remembered there was a t-shirt that I haven’t blogged about and that I do actually have in my tiny apartment wardrobe.

I’m sure you’ll all recognise it, it’s one you’ve seen many times before, just not on me.

Aussie Curves – Spike

Spike is the Aussie Curves theme this week and I definitely do not have a shortage of clothing with spikes on.

I could have gone with my Kaleidoscope dress as it has spikes on the shoulders, but I used that for Bodycon week. I could have worn my leopard top, as that too has spikes on the shoulders, but, once again, I had already used that for Time Saver. I sure do like clothing with spikes.

So there I was, scratching my head, wondering what else did I have? When I finally remembered the cardigan I have with spikes on the shoulder. City Chic really does like putting spikes on its clothing, huh? And I can’t help but buy them.

Aussie Curves – Song

I didn’t really know what to do for this week’s Aussie Curves them ‘Song’. I started thinking that I would choose a song and then create an outfit which was inspired by that. Fairly straight forward. But what song?

There are so many songs. There are so many GOOD songs. There are also so many songs about fashion. Where to start?

At some point this week I managed to get Empire State of Mind by Jay Z and Alicia Keys stuck in my head. And it pretty much stayed there.

And because of that, this outfit managed to snake its way into my mind.

Aussie Curves – Cocktail

Greetings from the Gold Coast!

As I haven’t really had much time this week, what with all the traveling, reading, swimming and eating I have been doing, I realised I hadn’t done my Aussie Curves post this week for Cocktail. But I have done it just in time!

Now cocktail is something that I can really do – I have so many pretty dresses, as Man Piece would say.

However, as I am without camera or really most of the things needed to create an awesome post, this one is mostly going to be a flash back to what I have worn this year.

This year seems to have been one filled with cocktail events for me, particularly for my job and mostly in the last quarter of the year.

I have been lucky enough to be invited to several architecture awards nights and a wedding or two. From this I seem to have accumulated a few really nice dresses.

For this week’s blog post, I am going to show you three of them, as well as the best cocktail venue I have ever been to.

Aussie Curves – Yellow

When I saw this week for Aussie Curves was yellow I immediately thought of one dress and one dress only.

This one:

yellow1

More technically a tunic, I usually wear this on really hot days with a pair of leggings, as pictured above.

I’ve tried doing many things with this dress, but it always looks better just by itself.

You might be wondering about the hat. I had it lying around the apartment left-over from my work trivia night (my team dressed up, essentially, as a rainbow. I was yellow. So on the way out of the door to take the photos, Man Piece suggested I use it. I really didn’t know what to do with it. At least it is sparkly.

Short and sharp from me this week. It’s only Tuesday and work is kicking my butt already (deadlines).
