Aussie Curves – Favourite Store

I’m in two minds about my favourite store.

The store I likely buy most of my clothes from is City Chic, mostly because I know they are going to fit and the clothes suit my style.

I remember when the first stores opened in New Zealand – I fell in love immediately with all the clothes and I haven’t stopped shopping there since. Finally there was a store which had stylish clothes that actually fit me, it was amazing. I still have the first dress I ever bought from the Lambton Quay store. I haven’t worn it in years, but I can’t bear to part with it.

Although I have started to shop around a bit more and buy online, I probably still buy at least one thing from City Chic every few weeks. I can’t help it.

The two items I will always buy from City Chic are bras and jeans. I know they work for me and I know what to expect from them. I have tried on far too many jeans and bras in my life only to be disappointed with the fit, so I have come to the conclusion that if I know they work, I might as well go with it.

The TDFs are my favourites. This longline cardigan (which Man Piece calls a dressing gown) is also from CC. Tee is from ASOS.

There will be days when I’m dressed head-to-toe in CC, as per below. I’m wearing one of the jumpers and a pair of the Zip Me Skinnies.

And I have to say, they tend to cater for my rock-chic needs…

Wet look jeans and cardigan with pleather sleeve panels both from CC with tee from Ruby&Lilli.

I do have to admit there was a time when City Chic weren’t hitting the mark with me – around 12 to six months ago they really had nothing that I wanted. So I started looking around and found that Farmers had really up’d their game in the last few years and are still going strong.

This Flawless hoody is from Farmers. It’s something that, a few years ago, I wouldn’t have ever thought Farmers would be stocking.

My entire outfit from Monochrome last week is actually all Farmers.

And this Merino jumper is from Farmers too. Great paired with some TDFs.

So if I had to pick, City Chic first with Farmers a close second.

What’s your favourite store to shop at?
