Aussie Curves – Night Out

Hi! I’m still alive. Kind of.

I haven’t been feeling that great about what I have been wearing or what I look like lately. So mostly I’ve just been avoiding it all and wearing/doing the bare basics.

Which means I have not been feeling inspired to do any Aussie Curves posts or outfits (even just to an Instagram fall-back). I’m not really sure why either, just feeling blah about it all.

But today I am going to attempt a short and sweet post for Night Out.

A happy coincidence meant that Man Piece and I actually did have a night out this week to Empire, which is currently showing in Wellington. (It’s like the circus meets burlesque, with a whole heap of funny thrown in there. Definitely worth going to.)

We had a bit of food at Mac’s Brewbar…

Then indulged in a bit of a show…

(All the sticks are balanced carefully on his head.)

And I managed to get Man Piece to get a picture of my outfit…

Tunic: Farmers
Leggings: ASOS

Necklace: Not sure where from, but was picked up in Rome by the MIL

Make sure you check out the other AC ladies’ outfits for Night Out below.

Short and sweet. Done.

  1. Oh I hear you.. the Blahs have been attacking me all week. I keep trying to smile through.. Lots of hugs and I love this yellow tunic?/Dress. I would totally wear that out. That necklace is amazing but really ?? All those sticks on the guy’s head??? ASTOUNDING!!

    • Yeah, I’m trying to do the same thing – just keep on keeping on.

That guy was totally awesome! The entire tent was silent as he slowly balanced each piece and then the next etc before putting it on his head. A lot of skill there. And at the end of the sticks, keeping it all balanced, was a feather!

  2. Sorry to comment on an old post, just wondering which ASOS leggings you buy? Currently frustrated as all my leggings wear out super fast and get holes =/ finding a good brand that’s affordable would be amazing!

    • I hear you! My leggings do not last long either. The pair I’m wearing in this outfit are an old wet-look pair from Asos which have zips on the thighs. They’ve lasted a lot longer than some, but were a one off I think. They are from the Asos curve brand and not one of the other brands they stock. I haven’t ever managed to buy some of the basic Asos ones – every time I do go to buy them they are sold out in my size! I’m probably not being very helpful as I still don’t have luck with leggings myself. I did buy a pair from Australian label 17 Sundays which are amazing, but they do cost more than Asos ones. I believe they are still stocked in Zebranos, which means you can try them on though.
