Hi! I’m still alive. Kind of.
I haven’t been feeling that great about what I have been wearing or what I look like lately. So mostly I’ve just been avoiding it all and wearing/doing the bare basics.
Which means I have not been feeling inspired to do any Aussie Curves posts or outfits (even just to an Instagram fall-back). I’m not really sure why either, just feeling blah about it all.
But today I am going to attempt a short and sweet post for Night Out.
A happy coincidence meant that Man Piece and I actually did have a night out this week to Empire, which is currently showing in Wellington. (It’s like the circus meets burlesque, with a whole heap of funny thrown in there. Definitely worth going to.)
We had a bit of food at Mac’s Brewbar…
Then indulged in a bit of a show…
(All the sticks are balanced carefully on his head.)
And I managed to get Man Piece to get a picture of my outfit…
Cardigan: City Chic
Necklace: Not sure where from, but was picked up in Rome by the MIL
Make sure you check out the other AC ladies’ outfits for Night Out below.
Short and sweet. Done.

Queen’s Birthday weekend has just passed here in New Zealand and everywhere was having a sale. I decided to pop down to Farmers, which had up to 50% off women’s clothing. Also being back in NZ for two months now I wanted to gauge what the clothes are like in Farmers, as I haven’t shopped there for around two years.
If you are not from NZ, Farmers is a main-stream department store. Similar to Myer. It has all the make-up counters as well as clothing and home wares.
I headed down to the Lambton Quay store to have a look around. I have to say, I’m not a huge fan of the Lambton store. Everything feels shoved in there without much thought or space to move around. Even more so in the plus size section. There is no signage saying the clothes there are plus size and it is a very small space, more like a corner. The stands are jam-packed with clothes and are ridiculously close together. But somehow I managed to squeeze through the stands and find a few pieces to try on.
Today, in my photo, I look a little wet.
The reason? I walked home in the rain.
One downside to being able to walk to work.
This is my casual “little black dress”. I wear it a lot. I can basically wear it all year round. It’s fantastic.
Originally purchased from Farmers. Not really sure what else to say. Just writing some random bullshit.
It has pockets and a tie around the waist as well as elastic. It’s comfortable.
Day late on my post, I know. This is what I wore on Saturday. Not much to say about this dress. It’s one I wear a lot in summer because it’s comfortable and cool. I got it from Farmers last year and wore it heaps and will most likely do the same this summer.
On Man Piece’s and my first weekend together, I wore this to Somme’s Island and got massively burned. I has square shaped burn marks on my boobs for months! It was horrible. And I couldn’t really wear anything else after that because I had these massive tan lines. NEVER AGAIN. I learned my lesson.
I hope. Note to self: find sunscreen.
It does make my boobs look fabulous.
