Romancing again.

November 22 is fast approaching and I am getting more excited by the day. What happens on the 22nd you ask? My Chemical Romance release their first album since The Black Parade in 2006 – Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

!!!!!!!!

Anywho. I have been meaning to blog about the official video for “Na Na Na”, which was released about four weeks ago now.

Each guy has a persona, which is quite cool. Names are at the end of the video.

Just watching the video makes it feel that MCR are still on form and makes me super excited to hear the rest of the album.

They have also released, what I believe to be, their second single, “Sing”. It’s a little different to “Na Na Na”, but still equally good. I do love the quote on the picture for the video – “Would you destroy something perfect in order to make it beautiful?”

Update: unfortunately the video has been removed, but in a later post is the official music video for “Sing”.

Let me see your jazz hands.

The lyrics video for My Chemical Romance’s “Na Na Na” has been released on Youtube this week.

This seems to be a growing trend within the music industry of releasing a lyrics video ahead of an actual video. It makes one question why this is happening. Are singers no longer pronouncing their words enough for people to make sense of them? Or is it just another way or promotion?

I would guess the latter.

The video itself has a very 80s feel to it and, for lack of better words, rather trippy. If you’re not careful, it may bring on an epileptic fit, with all the flashing and changing of colours.

The more I listen to it, the more it starts to sound like a progression from The Black Parade and not a complete divergence.

Whatever their plan was in releasing a lyrics video, they have got my interest piqued even further.

Bring on November 22.

Yeah, Nah, Yeah, Nah, Yeah, Na Na Na

My Chemical Romance have released their first single from their new album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys “Na Na Na”.

It is different to what MCR fans will be used to. It is very ‘poppy’ but you can also hear elements of classic rock.

This comes from their second attempt at writing their fourth studio album. It would be awesome to hear what their first attempt was like, but, naturally, they will only do what they are happy with.

The guitar riffs are very catchy, it does get stuck in your head. This song could end up being a big hit. Even though it is a departure from what they have built their sound to be. You can still hear the very distinct vocals of Gerard Way though.

Unfortunately, what many people won’t have heard, is that Bob has left the band. Which makes one question who they have replaced him with on the drums. This makes me a sad panda, because I really loved Bob. He’s dreamy.

Their new album is due for release on November 22. I would say this in the international date, which is not always when it is released in New Zealand. So we will see.

I’m actually excited. It will be interesting to hear what else they have come up with.

You can listen to “Na Na Na” here.

I’ve been rather la-zy.

It’s been awhile since I last posted anything about Music or Cupcakes (read: baking). Not much has happened, but I’ll do an overview of the last few months.

30 Seconds To Mars: Their first NZ gig was awesome. It was fantastic to finally see them live, because the live show was more than any fan could want. Including Jared coming down into the back and being but an arms length away *swoon*. I could see the sweat.

I made some cheese scones. They were nom.

Inception: Wow, what a complete and utter mind fuck. It was brilliant. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Christopher Nolan is fast becoming my new favourite director. Plus Joseph Gordon-Levitt grew up good!

Eclipse: What a disappointment. It was far too sappy and sweet made me want to /vomit. Seriously, gag me.

Eclipse soundtrack: They’re trying too hard to be cool now. Just does not float my boat. It’s gotten too big for it’s own good.

That’s all I can remember for now. Once again I say, this is turning over a new leaf, I will blog again! Wahhhh!

Krazy Kiwis. Say what!?

This video by Tahuna Breaks ‘Giddy Up’ disturbs me to no end.

I was pretty shocked when one night, not too late, this came on tv. I don’t even know. Jebus.

Oh, and I really should say NSFW!

Could it possibly only be because they are Kiwis? I kind of want to believe that they were on the crack at the time. Or some of that crazy ass NZ P that we tend to produce. I, seriously, just donut even know.

I donut like the song, either, BTW.
